Long term electric car rental in Bali starts at an indicative rate of around $650 per month for a self-drive Wuling Air EV, based on our daily rate of $29 with a typical monthly discount applied — final long-stay quotes are always confirmed on WhatsApp +62 811-2859-0000. Every car in our fleet is available on weekly and monthly terms, delivered to your villa or co-living space anywhere on the island. Rates are as of August 2026.
This page is written for digital nomads, remote workers and expats staying one to twelve months: what a month actually costs per model, which EV suits a Canggu or Ubud long stay, and how charging works when Bali becomes your base.
How Much Does Monthly Electric Car Rental Cost in Bali?
As an honest indication: weekly hire usually lands around 10% below the daily rate multiplied by seven, and monthly hire around 25% below the daily rate multiplied by thirty. That puts a Wuling Air EV near $650 per month and an MG4 EV near $1,690 per month, indicatively. Exact pricing depends on model, season and length of stay, so we quote each long-term booking individually on WhatsApp.
| Duration | Indicative discount vs daily rate | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| 7–13 days | Around 10% off | Weekly rate, one payment, free date changes where availability allows |
| 14–27 days | Around 15% off | Fortnight rate, popular with trial-month nomads |
| 28–30 days | Around 25% off | Monthly rate, our most-quoted long-stay band |
| 3+ months | Custom quote | Rolling monthly terms — the closest thing to an EV subscription in Bali |
Applying those bands to our published daily prices (as of August 2026) gives the indicative long-stay table below. Treat every figure as a starting point for your WhatsApp quote, not a fixed tariff.

Which Electric Car Should a Digital Nomad Rent for a Month?
For a solo remote worker doing the villa–cafe–beach loop, the Wuling Air EV is the honest answer: cheap to run, easy to park in tight Canggu lanes, and its real-world range of roughly 200–300 km depending on variant covers days of short hops between charges. It is the car we deliver most often on monthly terms.
- Solo or couple, short daily hops: Wuling Air EV or VinFast VF3 — smallest footprint, lowest monthly outlay.
- Couple who also road-trips at weekends: Wuling Binguo EV or BYD Atto 1 — more range headroom and comfort.
- Comfort-first remote workers hosting visitors: Wuling Cloud EV, MG4 EV or Chery Omoda E5 — proper highway composure.
- Family relocating for a school term: BYD M6 — six to seven seats on a mid-size budget, detailed on the BYD M6 rental page.

Can You Rent an Electric Car in Canggu by the Month?
Yes — Canggu monthly EV hire is our single most common long-stay request, and we deliver to Berawa, Batu Bolong, Pererenan and Umalas villas with the delivery fee quoted upfront. One honest note: central Canggu has no named public charging station in our verified data, so monthly renters there usually charge at Munggu or Mengwi nearby, or top up on Seminyak runs. Practical drive times and charging notes are on the electric car rental Canggu page.
Ubud, Sanur, Uluwatu and Denpasar long stays work the same way: we deliver, you keep the car for the month, and we stay one WhatsApp message away for the whole rental.
What Do You Need for a Long Term Rental in Bali?
A passport, a valid home-country licence plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) for self-drive, and a WhatsApp number we can reach you on. Deposit and paperwork terms vary by model and length of stay, so we confirm both in your quote rather than publishing a one-size figure that would not survive contact with a real booking.
Insurance basics, IDP questions and battery handover policy are covered plainly in our FAQ — ask anything else on WhatsApp and a human answers.
How Does Charging Work When You Live in Bali?
Better than most nomads expect: Bali had 230 public charging units across 164 locations by the end of 2025, concentrated along the southern belt where most long-stay renters live. Many villas can also arrange overnight charging where the wiring allows — tell us your villa area and we will advise honestly before you commit to a model.
On handover we follow standard Bali practice: the car arrives with a high state of charge, and you return it reasonably charged rather than full-to-full. Day-to-day, most monthly renters settle into one or two short charging stops per week.
Can You Swap Cars During a Long Stay?
Usually, yes. Plenty of nomads start a month in a Wuling Air EV, decide they want more range for weekend trips, and step up to a Binguo or MG4 for the next month. On rolling terms we treat a model swap as a normal request rather than a new contract — availability permitting — and we will tell you upfront if the car you want is not free for your dates.
The reverse works too: if the bigger car turns out to be overkill for your Canggu-to-cowork commute, downgrading at the next monthly renewal simply lowers the rate.
Weekly, Monthly or Rolling — Which Term Should You Choose?
Book weekly if your visa run schedule is uncertain; the premium over monthly is the price of flexibility. Book monthly at 28–30 days for the best published band. For three months or longer, ask for rolling monthly terms — an EV subscription in all but name, with one recurring rate and the option to swap models between months where availability allows.
To get a firm long-stay quote, send your dates, preferred model and villa area to WhatsApp +62 811-2859-0000 or email sales@balipremiumtrip.com. We reply fast, in English, with a real number — not a booking form that goes quiet.
